"The Crystal Ball: How Weather Forecasts are Made"
Noah Hughes, MJC Earth Science Professor, lucidly explains the "Crystal Ball" system used by meteorologists to predict weather. This "Cyrstal Ball" is the supercomputers that plug data from land and sea stations, radiosonde balloon measurements, and satellite remote sensors into ocean, earth and atmosphere models that create reliable projections of weather a few days into the future.
